East Bali, the contest beach
A high-performance beach on the east of Bali. Keramas is the one the tour used when they wanted a sand peak instead of a Bukit reef. Fast, hollow on the right bank, a town that is not Canggu. The east coast stays open when the west is small.
When.
Year-round
Indian Ocean swell year-round. The east coast holds when the Bukit is quiet.
Worth knowing.
- 1. This is not a first-week Bali beach. The inside is fast when the bank is in.
- 2. The Bukit is the other island trip. Keramas is the east, a different wind, a different crowd.
- 3. Candidasa and the hills are the stay if you do not want Canggu after.
- 4. The bank moves. Walk until you find a peak that is not a heat.
Go.
Before you paddle.
- 1. Check local conditions before entering
- 2. Always surf with a buddy
- 3. Know your limits and skill level
- 4. Watch for rip currents
- 5. Respect local surfers and rules
