The reef between Sosúa and Cabarete, not the kite beach in town. Encuentro is peaks on coral, a dirt access, a north-coast morning. Cabarete is the next bay. Do not park this page on the hotels.

October to April
North swell in winter. The reefs share the pulse. Cabarete is the wind bay next door.
Worth knowing.
- 1. This is not Cabarete kite beach. Different bay, different sport on many days.
- 2. The reef is close. Watch a set from the sand before the first paddle.
- 3. Winter is the window. Summer is smaller, still a look if you are already on that coast.
- 4. Sosúa and Cabarete have the beds. The break sits between them.
