Between Pipe and Sunset
A North Shore peak between Pipeline and Sunset, not either of those pages. Rocky Point is a reef that throws a right and a left, a winter pulse, a takeoff that is not the Pipe closeout and not the Sunset bowl. The highway is the same road. The peak is its own.
When.
November to March
North and northwest swell in winter. West swell is often the other peak down the beach.
Worth knowing.
- 1. This is not Pipeline and it is not Sunset. Walk until the peak changes. Do not park this page on Ehukai.
- 2. Winter is the window. Summer is often the other side of the island.
- 3. Watch a set from the sand. The reef is close when it is on.
- 4. Kamehameha Highway is the access. Haleiwa is the town.
